“Intimacy is that safe and comforting feeling you get when you can bask in the knowledge that this other person truly understands and appreciates you. You can relax in this person’s presence and let your guard down. Your mutual sense of trust, perhaps reinforced by your commitments of loyalty to each other, allows each of you to be more open with each other than either of you would be elsewhere.”

Barbara Fredrickson

To gain something from talking to a person, one has to learn something new, either in knowledge or emotions. That requires both participants to concentrate on the interaction, which in turn demands psychic energy that generally we are unwilling to invest. Yet a genuine flow of conversation is one of the highlights of existence.

Cardiac Cycle by Farnaz Rabieijah

., Art By 01/29/2016 No Comments

“No one can deny that Love has reached its critical stage in our present life. This can be either due to the impotency of Love which seems powerless to save man from the darker side of his mind or anything which is destroying or wiping off the name of Love. These days man is recklessly killing and being heartless toward the other, there is an abundance of darkness covering his hearts and egoism and greed have turned him into a blind and senseless human being. Man was created to give Love and be loved and receives his share of Love from the one he has generously given this Love to. And this trend which is similar to the flow of blood in his body gives and prolongs the life of the universe. “Cardiac Cycle” is a title given to a series of events which occurs between the very first moments of the Heart’s contraction to its next. in theses series I have tried to demonstrate the lack of Love in our contemporary world. Heart is the symbol of the origin and the destination of Love. With every beat and pumping the blood to all parts of the body, the Heart sustains life. Blood leads a circular path in man’s body and returns to the Heart and if it is led astray to any part of this sequence, this Blood (Love), comes out of its path and this time it is the Heart which will drive it out.” Farnaz Rabieijah

“Whoever is loved is beautiful, but this doesn’t mean that whoever is beautiful is loved.”There are girls more beautiful than Laila,” they used to tell Majnun. “Let us bring some to you.””I do not love Laila for her form,” Majnun would reply. “Laila is like a cup in my hand. I drink wine from that cup. I am in love with that wine. You only have eyes for the goblet and do not know the wine. A golden goblet studded with precious stones, but containing only vinegar, what use is that to me? An old broken gourd with wine is better in my eyes than a hundred goblets of gold.”A person must be moved with passion and yearning for them to tell the wine from the cup.” Rumi

Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss

Art By 10/14/2015 No Comments

“Love looks not with the eyes but with the mind.
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.
Nor hath Love’s mind of any judgment taste—
Wings and no eyes figure unheedy haste.” Shakespeare

“Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss” is a major work by 18th-century sculptor Canova currently displayed in Louvre Muesum. The theme of this marble sculpture is inspired by ancient mythology.

Hugh McLachlan ‘Cube Melt’~Surrender

“In surrender, you no longer need ego defenses and false masks. You become very simple, very real. “That’s dangerous,” says the ego. “You’ll get hurt. You’ll become vulnerable.” What the ego doesn’t know, of course, is that only through the letting go of resistance, through becoming “vulnerable,” can you discover your true and essential invulnerability.”
