It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.
“When a wise man wants to make someone weak, he first makes that person believe that he is strong. The other man will then fall into the trap of challenging someone even stronger and be destroyed.
When a wise man wants to bring someone low, he first makes that person climb the highest mountain in the world to allow him the illusion that he is very powerful.
“Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.
The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.
“No matter how spiritual you are, no matter how much self-esteem you have, I doubt that you’d put a Diet Coke in your automobile and expect it to run well. It would gum up the works so badly that your car would be in the shop in no time. Yet our current diet has us putting the most atrocious substances in our bodies and expecting to have good health.
As an automobile needs premium fuel to operate well, our bodies need real, fresh food to maintain health. Packaged food creates dis-ease. There’s no nourishment in it. The body can only handle it for so long. Then, when you do have a problem, you usually take an over-the-counter or prescription drug. This is another form of poison.
However, when you reach the age of 40—after years of eating a high-fat, high-salt, high-sugar, highly processed diet and taking these chemical drugs—your body begins to rebel. It has nothing to do with aging. It’s because the body has become toxic and can’t handle these poisons anymore.
So often when I read your emails and letters, the nutritional problem jumps out at me. It speaks louder than the mental problem. I want to say: “Please stop eating all that junk food and turn to a very simple diet of fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, and protein. Drop the sugar, cut back on wheat products, and eat very small amounts of dairy.” I know that your health can return very quickly when you do this.”

“It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it. Life is long enough, and a sufficiently generous amount has been given to us for the highest achievements if it were all well invested. You are living as if destined to live for ever; your own frailty never occurs to you. You act like mortals in all that you fear, and like immortals in all that you desire… How late it is to begin really to live just when life must end! How stupid to forget our mortality, and put off sensible plans to our fiftieth and sixtieth years, aiming to begin life from a point at which few have arrived!
